Good morning I just wanna say a big thankyou for organising the event yesterday. It was so beautiful I was so scared buts its actually not as scary as I thought it would be. I had so much fun It has been a really tough two years, struggling mentally being here without family and friends as well as my partner being FIFO. I was so close to booking a ticket and returning back to Bali, but I am so grateful I found friendher group and that you organise all these beautiful events where I get to meet so many beautiful, friendly and welcoming ladies..
Yesterday, I completely got out of my comfort zone and jumped all in and so thankful I got out of the car lol. If you know me, I love to meet new people make new friends and that’s what it was about and meeting so much like minded women who want just that too. I am so grateful to the ones I got to chat with yesterday and amazingly bumped into a old high school friend! Now that’s just awesome! Thanks you to Kristy Jane for hosting these events so us women can come together as a safe place with no judgement to none. Massive thanks for telling your story and how you came about hosting these events. You are very much appreciated Ladies if you are wanting to have a girly day out check out Friendher there is always amazing events being hosted by yours truely Kristy Jane. you don’t have to go by yourself if you don’t feel comfortable you can go as a bunch
Lauren, who was the first friend I made when I made the big move all the way from NSW to WA with my partner in my tiny car, not knowing anyone or anything in Perth introduced me to FriendHer. There was an event that fell on my birthday this year, and Lauren had invited me. Unsure at first, knowing I suffer from extreme anxiety and social anxiety, I decided to go. IT WAS THE ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I HAD MADE. From the moment I had arrived to meet the girls we were going in the Limo with, to the end of night I felt so included and extremely happy. Worried that my birthday would be a sad one, being the first one away from all my family and friends, I am so glad I came to the karaoke night. Walking through the door I was greeted by Kristy who told me how beautiful I had looked, and instantly I could feel her warmth and kindness in her heart when she hugged me and lit up the place with her smile. All the girls at the event made my birthday one of the best birthdays of my life. I told my partner that night the energy and amount of love I felt that night was insane. I look forward to many more events, and I encourage everyone feeling scared to come along because you will not regret it!
I just wanted to touch base to say thank you so much for all the amazing work yesterday! And thank you for sharing your story as well and being so welcoming and inclusive of everyone! I think it is absolutely amazing what you have done and what you are doing! The world is a better place for amazing women like you, especially for all the girls yesterday! I 100% have had that common experience so many of the girls talked about moving here to Perth and it being so hard to make friends with non Perth people, so this group is a godsend! I just wanted to reach out and say thank you from the bottom of my heart!
At the start of the year I made the leap interstate and I’m not going to lie it’s one of the scariest things I have ever done. Being away from all my friends and family I found my self struggling. I found it hard to meet like minded people and to want to socialise. I first heard of the friendher page through someone I had met up with for brunch. The first event I ever attended was the boat party I felt so invited and welcomed everyone was so nice and to think there was so many other girls out there in the same boat as me, feeling lost and confused. Hearing these girls share their stories and having them listen to my story I felt so connected and welcomed. Since that event I have attend 2 more events and I feel like this community has become one big family and these girls mean so much to me. I’ve met amazing people and made some really strong bonds, if your thinking about joining one of these events please come along, you won’t regret it
I have attended 3 Friendher events now including this weekends soul revival retreat. The retreat was honestly a life changing experience for me. Kristy is so incredibly welcoming and warm and she creates such a safe space for women to feel empowered and cared for which allowed me to open up to beautiful new experiences and connections. She was so attentive and thoughtful with every aspect of the trip, even making personalised special gifts for us! I walked away from it having met the most incredible women and I know that I have made some amazing new friendships! I highly recommend attending the Friendher events, I have had an absolute ball at every one of them. Friendher is a judgement free zone and you will not regret it
I wanted to write this after attending the recent Soul Revival Retreat for anyone who is feeling hesitant to attend an event. Do it! I have friends, am an over thinker, I like my own company but something drew me to book the retreat and I am so glad it did. If I could do it again this weekend I would in a heart beat! Kristy met each arrival at the gate and made every person feel welcomed and comfortable immediately. Her attention to detail is amazing and she created the warm and inviting feeling we had for the weekend from the outset. We went there as strangers and left feeling like we had known each other for years. If you want connection, laughs and the opportunity to make new friends without any judgement, take the leap and book yourself a retreat. I feel rejuvenated, connected and happy and I look forward to catching up with my new friends already!
I was lucky enough to attend the Soul Revival Retreat this weekend and am left in awe of how wonderful both the accomodation, activities, group of women and our lovely host were. It was both exciting and intimidating to sign up but I'm glad I did. The safety and love of the space created by Kristy and Ash was nothing short of magical and I'll always treasure the memories and connections we made. I highly recommend taking the opportunity to go to Friendher events if you get the chance
Early November a group of 12 strangers travelled down south for the Yallingup wellness retreat, only to leave 4 days later as friends. I had never been to a Friendher event before so to go away for 3 nights not knowing what to expect was a big deal. Kristy was available in the weeks, days, hours leading up to the event. Always checking in on our group chat to make sure everyone was prepared, feeling reassured and excited for the getaway to come. To be honest I had actually tried to sell my spot as I had experienced 3 deaths of who i was close to in the month before and felt I wouldn’t be in the right frame of mind to meet new people or be very much fun. But not selling the ticket ended up being a blessing for me. Each person had their own reason for being there and it was such a beautiful group of ladies to enjoy the weekend with. From yoga to tarot readings, from journaling to drinking games, each activity was met with so much openness. Not once did I feel any judgment or negativity which I would sometimes feel in new group situations. The event was so well organised by Kristy. She is super thoughtful and makes you feel at ease just being around her. If you are having second thoughts about attending a Friendher event, don’t let that thought win. Buy the ticket.
Just want to say how much I am looking forward to the Bali retreat! After making some incredibly deep connections at the soul revival retreat, not only taking away a whole group of soul sisters, but some truly amazing friends for life. Such a special trip that brought so much more…and I can’t wait for what’s to come! Kristy, you’re one in a million x
A little share from me about my experience attending Friendher events. The 1st birthday party was my first event and I was feeling unsure about going on my own. If I am honest without a paid ticket and all the helpful info from Kristy,chances of me talking myself out of it on the day would of been high. Kristy explains what to expect better than anyone who organises events, than I have ever experienced. It really helped put my mind at ease 💯. I was lucky enough to meet two ladies who I hadn't met before for a drink and we went together. I feel so blessed to have found that, if there is anyone feeling like they need a buddy to go to an event,reach out. All of the people I have met so far have been friendly and welcoming. I had so much fun at the Birthday party, the event and all the ladies were amazing. I met some super Gal's who are organising our first catch up in a couple of weeks. I would of missed that opportunity if I hadn't taken the leap to join the event. I hope my little story helps someone else in this amazing group. This is a safe space to meet other girls, how great is that!
